Prior to joining the financial services profession I spent 30 years in the ‘business to business’ services industry, enjoying highly challenging senior positions in a number of medium sized businesses. As a consequence of being too busy to give priority to managing my own financial affairs, I am now passionate about helping others to manage theirs.
The last 8 years of building a successful Financial Advice Practice has been both challenging and rewarding, and cliched or not, genuinely helping people is the best job satisfaction I can get. My style is practical and hands on, and my aim is to properly understand my clients and what drives and concerns them, so I can help them understand their financial situation in the context of their own life. I help clients to understand what they’ve got, where they want to be and then we put in place a plan to help them get there… and critically, review it regularly to help them remain on track.
I try never to use jargon, and I’m available to chat through any of life’s challenges and opportunities that may impact my clients and their families – absolutely no impersonal call centres here.
When not working, I’m never happier than when I’m in a pair of walking boots, or on a bike, or weekending in our motorhome. A lovely husband, fabulous kids and 4 cats complete the picture.
